CLIMATE CHANGE & OUR ENVIRONMENT
Managing the environment, climate change etc. is not about 'saving the planet,' as the planet is capable of dealing with whatever we can throw at it, as James Lovelock's 'Gia Theory' suggests, but it is more a matter of sustaining an environment that will support human life and that of the many other species that we hold dear. So it is not about 'it' but 'us.'

Anthropogenic climate change, since the beginning of the western industrial revolution, is supported by an overwhelming majority of the world's most prominent scientific experts in this field. To ignore them and continue 'business as usual' would be a foolhardy gamble with the future of the human species!

There is now strong evidence that humans are playing a substantial part in the observed temperature increases, mainly from about 1950 onward, but a good amount since the industrial revolution. The research confirms confidence in the results at the 95% - 99% level.
